Miller Nash LLP recently welcomed partner James T. Yand to its Seattle office and litigation practice team. He brings more than 20 years of experience resolving disputes for business owners and individuals in construction law, products liability, e-discovery and franchise and commercial law.
“Jim brings a tremendous background to our team here in Seattle,” said Guy Towle, Seattle office partner-in-charge. “He’s successfully resolved high-stakes disputes of all sizes, and our clients and practice teams will immediately benefit from his ability to assess potential problems and react appropriately if litigation arises.”
Yand has represented clients in cases of all sizes in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels. He specializes in resolving high-conflict cases of regional, national and international scope that often determine the continued success of the client’s interests.
Yand’s arrival marks Miller Nash’s continued emphasis on growing its presence in Seattle.
“We’re committed to the Seattle market and strategically adding individuals who bring the skills and experience our clients need,” said Towle. “We’ll continue to seek smart growth opportunities as it makes sense for our attorneys and clients.”
Yand earned his J.D., cum laude, at Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College after obtaining his bachelor’s degree from Portland State University. He is admitted to practice in Washington and Oregon.
