Goulston & Storrs Continues DC Office Expansion

Goulston & Storrs is pleased to announce the continued expansion of its Washington, DC office. Thomas F. Kaufman and John M. Ratino have joined the firm’s DC office as Directors, and Christian M. Hudson has joined as an associate. They are joined by two real estate paralegals, Michele Melton and Celeste White.  Most recently, Tom and John headed the Real Estate practice at Hunton & Williams’ DC office.

Since opening its DC office in 2001, Goulston & Storrs has broadened the firm’s office into a full service real estate practice through the acquisition of numerous partners from AmLaw 200 firms, including Shelly Weisel, former Chair of the Real Estate Group from Shaw Pittman; Maureen Dwyer, former Managing Partner of Pillsbury’s DC office; Lee C. Carter and Yann H. H. van Geertruyden of the Military Housing Privatization and Real Estate practices at Pillsbury’s DC office and most recently Sean W. Glynn, a Partner at Arent Fox’s DC office.

Doug Husid, the firm’s co-managing director, commented, “Our goal since coming to Washington has been and continues to be to create the District’s strongest and broadest real estate practice. The addition of Tom, John and their group is another major step in that effort.  Once again, we have added lawyers with significant expertise from an AmLaw200 firm which will further benefit both our local and national clients across multiple offices.”

“We look forward to contributing to the growth of the Washington office,” commented new Directors, Kaufman and Ratino.  “We are excited about Goulston’s national capital markets and hospitality practices, and we are confident that Goulston & Storrs is the perfect platform for us and our clients.”
