White & Case Advises Digital Realty Trust on $1.1 Billion London Data Centre Acquisition

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Digital Realty Trust on the acquisition of 761,000 sq ft of data centre facilities, located in and around London and known as the Sentrum Portfolio, for approximately $1.1 billion.

San Francisco-based Digital Realty Trust is one of the world’s leading data centre owners and operators and is a US REIT listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The transaction is believed to be one of the biggest real estate deals in the UK this year.

“This large and complex transaction was very important for Digital Realty Trust,” said White & Case partner James Dodsworth. “Our extensive expertise and track record in the data centre industry, coupled with our full service offering in London, allowed us to meet the numerous challenges that a transaction of this size and value inherently has.”

White & Case’s cross discipline team was led by real estate partner and data centre specialist James Dodsworth, supported by corporate partner Greg Stonefield, finance partner Jeremy Duffy, tax partner Peita Menon and employment partner Steve Ravenscroft, all based in London.
