HWL Ebsworth Broadens Planning Offering with Strategic Appointment

HWL Ebsworth has appointed David Vorchheimer as a partner in its Planning, Environment & Government Group in Melbourne.

David joins HWL Ebsworth from the Office of the Premier of Victoria, where he was the Premier’s Senior Adviser in relation to planning, building and local government matters. Prior to this, David was a Senior Associate at Russell Kennedy and also performed planning roles with a number of councils, including the cities of Knox, Yarra and Port Phillip.

David offers clients extensive experience in a number of areas, including co-ordinating development and subdivision applications; representing clients at the Victorian Civil Administrative Tribunal; conducting mediation and negotiation with the community, government agencies and industry bodies; acting on planning scheme amendments and appearing before Planning Panels, and advising on compulsory acquisition and compensation for land acquisition.

David will be joining HWL Ebsworth on 16 July 2012.
