Offit Kurman is pleased to announce the addition of new Principal Edward Tolchin to its Government Contracting and Commercial Litigation Practice Groups.
An experienced litigator, Mr. Tolchin’s practice focuses on government contracting and technology matters. He has represented both prime and subcontractors in contract negotiation and formation matters, and in disputes involving both government and commercial business issues. In addition to working with large and small matters in federal and state courts and before numerous arbitration panels, Mr. Tolchin has assisted in disputes, licensing and business development matters for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies.
“We are very excited and pleased to have Ed join our growing team. His 20+ years of experience in helping clients throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region in government contracting and litigation matters is a tremendous addition to Offit Kurman’s ability to provide sophisticated and affordable legal services to the middle market and entrepreneurial clients who are looking for a full-service firm that is an alternative to the D.C. firms that have traditionally dominated this market space,” said Don Walsh who heads the firm’s Government Contracting Practice Group.
Prior to joining Offit Kurman, Mr. Tolchin was a managing partner at a small law firm in northern Virginia for over two decades. Ed will split his time between Offit Kurman’s Bethesda and new Tysons Corner office, scheduled to open August 1st.
“Joining Offit Kurman will enable me to mine the wealth of experience and knowledge of the professionals at Offit Kurman to better serve my clients,” said Tolchin. “At the same time, I will be able to maintain the flexibility to offer the same efficient and personal services I’ve provided for the past 30 plus years.”
