Polsinelli Shughart welcomes health care litigation attorney Stephanie N. Gwillim as an associate in the firm’s Chicago office. Previously, Gwillim served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Missouri Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. She supervised and litigated state investigations into both health care providers’ billing practices and allegations of abuse and neglect of patients residing in Missouri health care facilities.

Gwillim earned her law degree from St. Louis University School of Law in 2009 with a Certificate in Health Law. She worked on the St. Louis University Public Law Review, was a Dean’s Select Scholar, and earned the Academic Excellence Award in Legal Research and Writing. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Eastern Illinois University in 2006 through the University Honors Program. While there, she received the Warner-Brainard Pre-legal Presidential Award. She is admitted to practice in Missouri and Illinois, and is a member of the American Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association.
