A partner with expertise in professional negligence claims and commercial litigation has joined the Dublin office of international law firm DAC Beachcroft LLP to help further expand its reach into the Ireland and London insurance markets.
Noreen Howard joined DAC Beachcroft on Monday (16 July) having previously worked for Matheson Ormsby Prentice where she was partner for five years.
The Dublin office of DAC Beachcroft has seen significant growth in the three years since it opened its doors in February 2009 when it was home to one member of staff. In 2010, the office moved to its current location in Fleming Place, Dublin 4, to accommodate expanding staff numbers which now stand at 30.
Commenting on Noreen’s appointment, senior partner in the Dublin office Katie da Gama, said: “I am delighted that Noreen has joined us at such an exciting time for the team. We’ve had a hugely successful three years, growing in order to provide the best possible service to our clients.
“Noreen has come on board to help us to expand and develop our client base by maximising existing and cultivating new relationships with insurers, brokers, loss adjusters and large self-insureds and we envisage that the wealth of experience she brings to the table will enable her to provide key insight for our clients across the sector.”
Noreen, who studied at University College Cork and completed her training in 1998, said: “Joining the team at such a crucial time in its development, helping to build upon and strengthen existing links as it continues to grow its presence here in Dublin, was an opportunity I could not turn down.
“The firm shares my commitment to providing the highest quality service for clients and gaining a deeper understanding of our clients’ businesses.”
