Goodwin Procter, a national Am Law 50 firm, announced today that Kecia Reynolds has joined the firm’s Litigation Department in its Washington, D.C. office as a member of Goodwin’s IP Litigation Practice. She will focus on representing clients in Section 337 evidentiary hearings before the International Trade Commission, in Abbreviated New Drug Application (“ANDA”) district court litigation and in appeals before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. Reynolds joins Goodwin from the ITC where she was an investigative attorney in the Office of Unfair Import Investigations, working on patent and trademark infringement matters.
Reynolds has extensive trial experience with patent enforcement issues, and her patent expertise also extends to industries involving computer hardware and software, pharmaceutical chemistry, and biotechnology.
“The experience Kecia has gained while at the ITC and elsewhere will provide Goodwin’s IP litigation clients with exceptional insight into all aspects of Section 337 proceedings before the ITC,” said Thomas Scott Jr., chairman of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. “Her extensive appellate and ANDA background bring additional depth to our roster of accomplished IP litigators, and we’re delighted she has chosen to join Goodwin Procter.”
Reynolds received her B.S. in biology from Norfolk State University and her J.D. from University of Miami School of Law. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia and before the U.S Patent and Trademark Office.
