WFW expands Madrid Office with New Project Finance Partner

Watson, Farley & Williams is pleased to announce that it has appointed project finance partner Rodrigo Berasategui Verastegui to its Madrid office.

Rodrigo advises public and private developers and banks, insurers and specialist funds on project development and financing on high-profile energy and infrastructure projects in Spain and Latin America. He worked on the €1.42bn financing of Acciona’s renewables portfolio and more recently led the legal team on the financing of the first hybrid thermosolar/biomass project in the world. The 22.5 MW project is located in Catalonia (Spain).

He has particular experience in renewable energy financings, especially thermosolar power projects, and has also worked on infrastructure financing.

Rodrigo previously practised at Garrigues in Madrid, which he joined in 2000.
