Barnes & Thornburg LLP announced today that Thomas J. McWilliams and Edward “Ted” F. Behm, Jr. have joined the firm’s Wilmington, Del. office as partners in the Intellectual Property Department. They come to Barnes & Thornburg from Connolly Bove Lodge & Hutz LLP.
McWilliams handles intellectual property related acquisitions, investments and joint ventures for early-stage and emerging technology businesses. Behm focuses his practice on the prosecution and defense of patent infringement suits and preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patents.

Barnes & Thornburg opened its Delaware office in 2009 just after adding three other new offices in Atlanta, Columbus, Ohio, and Minneapolis. Since then, the firm has added a Los Angeles office (2011).
