Leading law firm Seyfarth Shaw LLP announced today the addition of Labor & Employment partner Patrick Bannon to the firm’s Boston office. Bannon was previously a partner at McCarter & English.
Bannon represents employers in all types of litigation, including wage and hour collective and class actions, non-competition and trade secret disputes and complex discrimination claims. He also counsels employers regarding a wide range of labor and employment issues, including leaves of absence, discipline and termination, managing employees with physical and mental conditions that might be considered disabilities, employment contracts, separation agreements, and reductions in force.
“Patrick is a great addition, both locally in Boston and nationally,” said Lisa Damon, chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment Department. “He has a great depth of experience in complex employment litigation matters, especially wage and hour collective and class actions, along with a broader labor and employment expertise. As the number of federal wage and hour and collective and class actions filed continues to grow in Massachusetts and the northeast, Patrick’s substantial experience further enhances our capabilities in serving our clients in the area.”
“Patrick is a consummate team player and an exceptionally smart, mature and capable employment litigator,” remarked Ariel Cudkowicz, associate managing partner of Seyfarth’s Boston office. “We are happy to have him on board. Patrick brings not only a wealth of experience but also an increased capacity to our labor and employment work specific to Boston, where there are a number of plaintiff-friendly Massachusetts wage and hour laws.”
Bannon received his B.A. from Harvard College and his J.D. degree from Stanford Law School.
