Lane Powell Adds IP Litigator Wesner in Seattle

Lane Powell Shareholder Greg Wesner was interviewed by Law360 for a November 15 article titled “Lane Powell Adds Frommer Lawrence IP Litigator in Seattle.” Wesner is the most recent addition to Lane Powell’s growing team of attorneys focused on patent, trademark, and other intellectual property litigation and related counseling. The article discusses Wesner’s extensive background in IP litigation and why he chose to join Lane Powell. The article also mentions Alan Minsk, who joined Lane Powell’s Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group earlier this year. Jeff Reis also recently joined Lane Powell as Counsel to the Firm earlier this month.

Gregory Wesner joined Lane Powell as a shareholder in the firm’s IP and technology practice group after about a 1 1/2 years with Frommer Lawrence & Haug, where he had been a partner.

Wesner said he was excited to be on board with Lane Powell and liked the direction the firm was heading in.

“They’ve been growing their intellectual property practice over the last couple of years and I’ve been very impressed with the firm’s leadership,” Wesner said. “The firm is changing and adapting to the increased importance of intellectual property in the economy, and I’m thrilled to be a part of that.”

Wesner focuses on patent litigation but also handles trademark suits and other types of intellectual property cases, as well as counseling work. He has dealt with patent suits involving an array of subjects, such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, algorithms for video and image compression and wireless infrastructure and high-speed scanning radio technologies.

In June, Lane Powell made another lateral addition to its intellectual property and technology practice group in Seattle, bringing over Alan Minsk from Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP. Minsk brought with him a practice focused on patent litigation support, patent prosecution and patent portfolio evaluation, along with patent-related due diligence processes.
