Lane Powell – Davis Joins the Seattle Office in the Securities Litigation Practice Group

Claire Loebs Davis has joined the Seattle office as a shareholder in the Securities Litigation Practice. Davis joins Lane Powell from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.

Davis is a highly experienced securities litigator. She has focused on defending public companies and their directors and officers in securities class actions, shareholder derivative suits and investigations and enforcement actions by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. At Lane Powell, she will continue to focus on such actions, in addition to other complex litigation matters. Claire has represented many prominent business leaders, local companies and national corporations in litigation around the country. She has been named as a “Washington Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine each of the past three years.

Davis also does extensive pro bono legal work, including work on educational reform, asylum matters and representations in the field of animal law. She is the current chairperson of the Washington State Bar Association Animal Law Section. Before joining Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, she was in-house counsel and animal law consultant for Best Friends Animal Society, a national animal welfare advocacy organization and the country’s largest animal sanctuary.

Davis received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, magna cum laude, and graduated second in her class. She served as contributing editor of the Michigan Law Review. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, from The George Washington University. Following law school, Davis served as judicial clerk for Hon. Richard L. Nygaard of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
