Akerman Senterfitt announced it recently represented Swisher Hygiene Inc., a NASDAQ and TSX listed company, in the sale of voting securities of Choice Environmental Services Inc., for $123.5 million. The purchaser is Waste Services of Florida Inc., a subsidiary of Progressive Waste Solutions Ltd.
Akerman shareholder Ed Ristaino was lead lawyer for Swisher Hygiene for the sale.

Swisher Hygiene is a company that provides hygiene and sanitation solutions to customers throughout North America and internationally, and Choice Environmental Services is its waste collection and recycling subsidiary.
