Zelle Hofmann Voelbel & Mason LLP is expanding with the opening of its London office in January 2013 to address the growing needs of its clients in the London and European insurance markets. The London office will primarily focus on complex U.S. insurance disputes, London arbitrations, and global competition and antitrust matters.
The office will be headed by Jason Reeves, who is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales and a licensed attorney in Texas.
“The firm has handled many insurance and antitrust matters in the U.S. on behalf of clients located throughout the world. We have served as antitrust and competition counsel for clients in both Europe and Asia, and we are now better positioned to provide these services to our clients,” said Kerry Brown, a member of the Executive Committee of Zelle Hofmann. “With London as the epicenter of the world for the insurance industry and antitrust actions taking place on a global scale, establishing an office in London provides an enhanced platform to best serve our clients’ needs.”
Reeves has unique experience practicing law in the U.S. and England, and his practice focuses on complex U.S. insurance disputes and London arbitrations under U.S. law. He has resolved disputes through litigation, arbitration, appraisal, mediation, and negotiation in the U.S. and England. Reeves primarily handles first-party insurance coverage and subrogation disputes involving energy, property, power, engineering, and industrial risks that often include complicated business interruption issues.
