Estudio Echecopar, a member firm of Baker & McKenzie International, represented Fondo MIVIVIENDA S.A. (Fondo Mivivienda) in its inaugural international bond offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of 3.50% notes due 2023. Fondo Mivivienda will use the net proceeds from the notes offering for general corporate purposes.
Fondo Mivivienda is a for-profit entity that is wholly-owned by the Peruvian state, established with the principal goal of providing access to mortgage financing for lower- and middle-income working families and individuals who are most likely to be part of the population most affected by the quantitative and qualitative housing deficit in Peru.
