Baker & McKenzie’s Turkish member firm, Esin Attorney Partnership, has hired a leading infrastructure and projects lawyer and an in-house counsel from one of Turkey’s largest conglomerates to further enhance the firm’s Energy, Mining & Infrastructure (EMI) practice.
Türker Yöndem, who joins Esin as a partner, is a leading lawyer on Turkish infrastructure projects and public-private partnerships (PPPs). He worked at the International Project Finance & PPPs Department of the Turkish Treasury on international financing of infrastructure projects for over a decade before going into private practice. He joins from his family law firm Yalti Yöndem
Muge Onal, who joins as Of Counsel, previously worked as Legal Affairs Manager of Zorlu Holding, one of Turkey’s largest diversified conglomerates active in the energy, financial services, textile, electronics and household appliance sectors. As the most senior legal role in the group, she advised management on legal affairs and worked on Zorlu’s most significant energy and finance transactions.
