Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C., a corporate law firm known primarily for representing policyholders in insurance coverage disputes, today announced the opening of a new office in Burlington, Vermont.
Marshall Gilinsky, a shareholder in the firm’s Insurance Recovery Group who moved from New York City to Burlington several years ago, will head the new office, which will focus primarily on insurance recovery, particularly on behalf of captive insurance firms in disputes with their reinsurance providers.

In addition to his work on behalf of captive insurance companies, Mr. Gilinsky’s insurance coverage practice is focused on property insurance, commercial general liability insurance, professional errors and omissions (E&O) insurance and directors’ and officers’ (D&O) insurance. Much of his practice concentrates on obtaining full recoveries for complex property and business interruption insurance claims arising out of prominent catastrophes, such as 9/11 and Hurricanes Katrina and Irene and Superstorm Sandy.
Since Hurricane Irene struck Vermont, Mr. Gilinsky has provided pro bono counsel to several Vermonters seeking assistance with flood insurance claims and relocation grants under FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.
