Porzio, Bromberg & Newman is pleased to announce that Deirdre R. Wheatley-Liss has joined the firm as a principal. Ms. Wheatley-Liss brings to Porzio a new elder law practice area that complements the firm’s current trust and estates and tax compliance practices. At Porzio, she will continue representing families and closely held businesses in tax, estate, business, asset protection and elder law issues.
As a frequent lecturer and author of legal and consumer-oriented articles, Ms. Wheatley-Liss seeks to educate the public and the legal community about issues relating to her areas of practice. She also authors the New Jersey Estate Planning & Elder Law Blog, a leading commentary on developments in tax law, estate planning, estate administration, elder law and business law.
Ms. Wheatley-Liss is a former shareholder of Fein Such Law Group. She received an LL.M in Taxation from New York University, a J.D. from Boston College School of Law and a B.A., with honors, from Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Wheatley-Liss is Certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. She is licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York.
