Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. to Open Waukesha County Office; Expands Corporate and Environmental Teams

The law firm of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. (WHD) is pleased to announce that it has plans to open a new office in Waukesha County. Final terms of the lease are still in process. The full-service corporate and litigation office complements its three current locations: Milwaukee and Madison, Wis., and Chicago. To lead the firm’s new location, two of Waukesha County’s preeminent corporate and environmental attorneys, Timothy A. Nettesheim and Donald P. Gallo, respectively, have been hired and will join the firm’s integrated corporate and environmental law practice. Nettesheim is a 33-year veteran of business law and tax practices, and Gallo, who is also a licensed registered engineer, has more than 30 years of experience specializing in environmental engineering and law.

In addition to Nettesheim and Gallo, the office will be staffed by approximately 20 employees, including attorneys, environmental consultants, paralegals, office administrators and legal secretarial support.

“I am delighted that our new office will bring added convenience to our clients in Waukesha County and the surrounding areas,” says Chief Executive Paul Eberle. “As we welcome Tim and Don to the firm, our strategic growth continues as does our continued commitment to meet the needs of our clients. Tim and Don are outstanding additions to our firm and we look forward to continued growth and success with them in the years to come.”

Nettesheim joins WHD as a member of the Corporate Transactions and Taxation teams. Throughout his career, he has guided clients through every stage of the business life cycle including but not limited to acquisitions, expansion, shareholder buyouts, negotiating financing transactions and contracts with vendors and employees. He also shares his professional knowledge and experience on a variety of practical tax issues including state and federal taxation, New Markets Tax Credits, real estate taxation, executive compensation and other tax issues affecting closely held businesses. Nettesheim is well known for his successful negotiation strategies and shares this knowledge at various professional and community engagements both through specific negotiation engagements and when coaching his clients on how to use formal negotiation principles in their day-to-day business activities. Nettesheim serves as a director for several private companies and a publicly traded bank where he serves as a vice chairman, which reflects his role as trusted business adviser.

“WHD is excited to welcome Tim to the firm to lead our corporate efforts in Waukesha County,” said Eberle. “His strong business acumen combined with professional knowledge and more than 30 years of experience guiding clients through a variety of complex business practices will add depth to our already exceptional corporate and tax practices. His extensive business experience will prove invaluable to our clients.”

Nettesheim earned his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and his J.D., with distinction and Order of the Coif, and LL.M. from the University of The Pacific-McGeorge School of Law. Awarded numerous recognitions as a top-rated lawyer, he currently serves as a board member of Citizens Community Bancorp, Waukesha County Business Alliance, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Foundation and several privately held companies. Nettesheim is also a member of Milwaukee Water Council Investment Committee and the Wisconsin chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.

Gallo joins WHD as a member of the Environmental Law, Environmental Litigation, Corporate Transactions and Commercial Real Estate teams. He represents clients on a broad range of environmental issues including Brownfields redevelopment, environmental remediation and cost recovery and regulatory compliance.

Gallo earned his B.S.C.E., with honors, from Tri-State University College of Engineering, his M.S.C.E. from The University of Akron, and his J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University Law School. Recognized as a “go-to environmental lawyer” by Chambers USA, Gallo currently serves as a board member of Wisconsin Wetlands Association, Ozaukee-Washington Land Trust, Inc. and is president of Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful and Greening Milwaukee. He has been an advisory committee member in the development of several Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources regulations and teaches two graduate-level courses in environmental law and construction law at Milwaukee School of Engineering.

“Don is a leader in all facets of environmental law and has a strong record of delivering client success, said Eberle. “With the addition of Don, our Environmental Law Team is well-positioned to provide clients with the counsel required to support their business needs.”
