Christopher Hoffmann joined Miller Johnson as an Associate in the Grand Rapids office. He advises clients on matters related to employment practices, labor relations and litigation.
Mr. Hoffmann works in partnership with employers and human resource practitioners. He counsels in a range of employment areas from compliance issues such as leave of absences and wage and hour to personnel matters including performance evaluations and employee handbooks to investigative areas which could result in discharge and discipline such as workplace violence and harassment. Mr. Hoffmann has experience in negotiating and defending employers in labor disputes. He also defends employers in federal courts as well as Illinois state courts where he is licensed to practice.
Mr. Hoffmann is a graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law where he earned his J.D. with highest honors in 2011. He received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2008. Prior to coming to Miller Johnson, Mr. Hoffmann practiced in the greater Chicago area for more than seven years where he represented employers in labor and employment matters.
