Dr. Gao focuses her practice on preparing and prosecuting patent applications related to pharmaceutical, chemical, and medical device related technologies. She joins Honigman from Brinks Gilson & Lione. Dr. Gao previously served as director of research and development at AFID Therapeutics, Inc.

Honigman Strengthens its IP Practice in Grand Rapids
Honigman announced today that Weber Hsiao has joined the firm as a senior attorney in its Intellectual Property department and Patent practice group in the firm’s Grand Rapids office. His arrival follows the recent additions of IP partners Tim Flory and Peter Cummings, who joined the firm earlier this year.
Hsiao advises clients on a full range of IP matters, including IP protection and IP disputes, and counsels clients on IP due diligence in M&A transactions. He joins Honigman from Brown Rudnick LLP’s Boston office, where he focused his practice on medical and high-tech inventions.
