Lori Grifa, a former member of the Christie Administration, will join Archer & Greiner later this month as a partner in the firm’s Hackensack office. She also will serve as a director of Archer & Greiner’s government affairs affiliate, Archer Public Affairs.
Practicing law more than 25 years, Ms. Grifa has a deep experience in both the private and public sectors. From 2010-2012, Ms. Grifa served in Governor Chris Christie’s Cabinet as the Commissioner of the NJ Department of Community Affairs, an agency of more than 1,200 employees and a budget of nearly $1.5 billion. As Commissioner, she simultaneously chaired the NJ Meadowlands Commission, the NJ Redevelopment Agency, the NJ Housing Mortgage Finance Agency and the NJ Council on Affordable Housing. Before joining the Christie Administration, Ms. Grifa previously interrupted her private practice to serve as Chief of Staff to NJ Attorney General David Samson from 2002-2003.

Ms. Grifa will continue to represent licensed and regulated businesses before the NJ Departments of Banking & Insurance, Education, Environmental Protection, Labor, Transportation and Treasury. She also will represent clients before the State’s professional licensing boards and the Divisions of Consumer Affairs and Alcoholic Beverage Control.
Ms. Grifa has been recognized by NJBIZ as one of NJ’s “Best 50 Women in Business”, twice nominated as one of NJ’s “50 Most Powerful People in Real Estate” and has been selected as one of New Jersey’s Women Leaders in the Law based on her rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Ms. Grifa earned her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and her Juris Doctorate from Boston College Law School. Prior to joining Archer & Greiner, Ms. Grifa was a partner at Wolff & Samson, PC for 12 years.
