Allen & Overy continues to expand its global Antitrust practice with the appointment of Dr Börries Ahrens who will join the Hamburg office as partner with effect from 1 August 2016.
This follows the announcement earlier in the month that Yvo de Vries will join Allen & Overy’s global Antitrust practice, based in Amsterdam, on 1 September 2016.
Börries joins from White & Case where he became partner in 2010. He will work closely with Ellen Braun, head of the German Antitrust practice and partner Jürgen Schindler, who splits his time between the Hamburg and Brussels offices.

Börries advises on all aspects of European and German antitrust law. He regularly represents clients in merger control proceedings and cartel investigations before the German Federal Cartel Office, the European Commission, and European and German courts.

The German Antitrust practice advises German and international clients on antitrust issues before the European Commission and the German Federal Cartel Office in complex merger control cases, and cartel investigations, proceedings for administrative fines, and damages and complaints.
