The global law firm Jones Day has announced that Michelle Taylor and her team have joined the Firm’s Banking & Finance Practice. Formerly Asia Managing Partner and China Office Leader with Orrick, Michelle will be based in the Firm’s Hong Kong Office.
Michelle focuses her practice on structured finance, real estate finance, debt capital markets, general banking, and securitization where she has almost 20 years of experience. She has led some of the largest and most innovative securitizations in China, Japan, and Korea in recent years. Since moving to Hong Kong in 1998 with her previous firm, she has established one of the most active cross-border finance practices in the Asia-Pacific region.
Michelle has handled finance transactions across a wide range of industry sectors, including airline, automotive, insurance, consumer credit, commercial finance, energy, semiconductor manufacturing, shipping, and real estate.

Michelle received her LL.B. in 1992. She also received First Class Honors in the Solicitors Finals at the College of Law, Guildford in 1993. Michelle is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales.
