Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP served as legal counsel to Houlihan Lokey Capital, Inc., in its role as financial adviser to the special committee of the board of directors of Yongye International, Inc., which has announced its intention to be taken private.
Yongye is a China-based crop nutrient maker. The value of the deal is estimated at about $340 million.
