The global law firm Jones Day has announced that Chris Swift has joined as a partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Formerly a partner with Allen & Overy, Mr. Swift will be based in the Firm’s Hong Kong Office.
Mr. Swift focuses his practice in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate restructurings, and general corporate finance. Mr. Swift has more than 15 years of experience in the Asia Pacific region and has led some of the largest and best known M&A and ECM transactions during that period. He is a member of the Hong Kong Takeovers and Mergers Panel, and his public M&A and regulatory experience includes two years in a senior position at the London Takeover Panel.

Mr. Swift completed his Law Society Final examinations at the College of Law, London and received his LL.B. degree from the University of Leeds. Mr. Swift is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales and Hong Kong.
