Preeminent global law firm Ropes & Gray today announced that Daniel Yeh has joined the firm’s private equity practice as a partner, resident in the Hong Kong office.
Mr. Yeh’s practice is focused on private equity transactions, including growth equity investments, cross-border M&A, public and private acquisitions and divestitures, leveraged buyouts, going-private transactions, and joint ventures. He has represented many prominent institutional investors in Asia and has worked extensively on China-related deals. He has also advised clients in transactions across Korea, Australia, Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States.
“Daniel’s pan-Asia experience, with a particular focus on deals in China, makes him a true asset to the firm and to our clients in the region,” said Paul Boltz, managing partner of Ropes & Gray’s Hong Kong office. “We’ve built one of the largest and most experienced private equity teams in Asia, and his addition further strengthens our ability to advise on a broad range of transactions for sophisticated investors across the region.”
Mr. Yeh joins Ropes & Gray from Weil, Gotshal & Manges in Hong Kong. He received his B.A. from the University of Illinois and his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.
Mr. Yeh is the third partner to join Ropes & Gray in Hong Kong in 2015. In February, Andrew Dale joined the firm’s business & securities litigation practice, and in January, Ed Sheremeta joined the firm’s real estate investments & transactions practice.
“I am delighted to join Ropes & Gray and a team of private equity attorneys who are committed to delivering the best legal advice and quality service to clients time and again,” said Mr. Yeh. “I look forward to working with the firm as it continues to serve the growing needs of clients across Asia.”
