Davis Polk is advising China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited and Merrill Lynch Far East Limited as joint placing agents on the HK$3.139 billion (approximately US$405 million) placing of H shares by Huaneng Power International, Inc.
The core business of Huaneng Power is to develop, construct and operate large-scale power plants throughout China by making use of modern technology and equipment and financial resources available domestically and internationally. Huaneng Power’s A shares and H shares are listed and traded on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, respectively.
