Orrick announced today that leading litigator Charles Allen has joined the firm as a partner in its complex litigation and dispute resolution practice in Hong Kong. Charles joins Orrick from Sidley Austin, where he led the firm’s Hong Kong commercial litigation practice.

Admitted in both Hong Kong and England, Charles focuses his practice on complex, commercial litigation, arbitration and investigations. He represents clients on a wide range of contractual and tortious disputes, as well as regulatory and other investigations.

Highly ranked for litigation and arbitration by Chambers Global, Chambers Asia Pacific and Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Charles is accredited as a mediator by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre. He is a member of the Claims Committee of the Hong Kong Law Society’s Professional Indemnity Scheme, is secretary to the ICC Hong Kong Committee on Arbitration, and a Solicitor Member of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal, the disciplinary body for Solicitors in Hong Kong. Charles earned his LLB from University College London and completed his Solicitors’ Finals Examination at the College of Law.
