Reed Smith Expands Hong Kong Office With New Litigation Partner Stephen Chan

Global law firm Reed Smith today announced that Stephen Chan has joined as a partner in its litigation practice in the Hong Kong office of Reed Smith Richards Butler. Stephen was previously a dispute resolution partner in the Hong Kong office of Oldham, Lie & Nie. Before relocating to Hong Kong in 2013, Stephen was with McVeagh Fleming in New Zealand.

Stephen is an experienced advocate who focuses on commercial litigation, international arbitration, intellectual property litigation, employment and labour disputes, and white collar crime.

Stephen is a committee member of the Law Society of Hong Kong’s Arbitration Committee.

He is admitted to the court in Hong Kong and New Zealand, and speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin. He qualified as a solicitor in New Zealand in 2007 and in Hong Kong in 2014, and attended the University of Auckland.
