An attorney with a focus on energy issues will run a firm’s newly opened law offices in Houston, according to a press release.

Greg Nelson, one of three new hires for Paul Hastings LLP, will spearhead the firm’s objective of creating a leading energy practice to serve its clients. News about opening the offices in Houston comes on the heels of the firm indicating it is exploring the channels to open an office in South Korea, which would create Asia legal jobs.

“I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues in Houston and with the talented energy-focused lawyers across Paul Hastings’ global network to build a top-tier energy practice,” Nelson said. “The wide-range of new and existing talent will be a huge advantage as we continue to expand in this extremely competitive industry.”

Paris Theofanidis and Steven Tredennick are the two additional attorneys who will help in the newly opened Texas office.

Managing partner Greg Nitzkowski said the Houston office will serve a vital purpose as expertise continues growing and augmenting the firm’s existing strengths with global energy issues.
