Clark Hill Strasburger today announced the addition of five attorneys from LeClairRyan to its Houston office. Jason Medley will join as a Member and M. Edward Burdzinski as Senior Counsel in Banking and Financial Services. Michael Landrum will join as Of Counsel, Anne Marie Laney Hill as Senior Counsel, and Trevor Hall as Senior Attorney in Litigation.

Medley represents banks, factoring companies and real estate interests in a variety of transactional matters, from due diligence to contract negotiations, workouts, inter-creditor relations and secured party collections. He also represents businesses in corporate governance and general matters, including entity formation, contracts, leasing, mergers and acquisitions.
Medley earned a J.D. at the University of Houston Law Center and a B.S. magna cum laude at the University of Houston. He serves as Legal Counsel and a member of the Houston Chapter of the Commercial Finance Association, and as a member of the Houston Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and the Texas Association of Bank Counsel. Medley is a former Chair of the Board for the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce and a former member of the YMCA Board of Directors.

Burdzinski’s practice focuses on commercial real estate finance, entity formation, real estate sales and acquisitions, commercial contracts and general business matters. He serves as a Board Member of the Southwest Association of Bank Counsel, Board Member and Chairman, of the Corporate Counsel Section of the Houston Bar Association, and is the Founding Board Member of the Bellaire Business Association. Burdzinski served for twelve years as General Counsel of Tradition Bank in Houston. He earned a J.D. at the University of Houston Law Center and a B.S. at Michigan State University.
Landrum represents clients in transactional, litigation and appellate matters, and has represented parties before state and federal trial and appellate courts in matters concerning contracts, real estate, business organizations, shareholder disputes, trade secret, unfair competition, deceptive trade practices, banking, property tax and appraisal, construction, commercial engineering and design and others. He is certified in Civil Trial Law and Civil Appellate Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Landrum has been a member of the American Arbitration Association Construction and Commercial case Arbitrator Panels for more than 25 years, and is the former Judge of the 113th Civil District Court, in Harris County, where he served from May 2013 through 2018. He earned a J.D. from the University of Texas Law School and a B.A. from the University of St. Thomas cum laude.
Hall’s practice focuses on all stages of civil litigation and the resolution of commercial disputes. Prior to joining private practice, he clerked for the Honorable Judge Micaela Alvarez in the Federal District Court of McAllen, and the Honorable Judge Fortunato P. Benavides in the Federal Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Hall earned a J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law and a B.A. from Wabash College as a Lilly Fellow.
Laney Hill’s practice focuses on business litigation, representing commercial lenders, banks and insurance companies. Her financial services litigation practice includes working with financial institutions and other creditors in the areas of bank fraud, letters of credit, lender liability, creditor bankruptcy, collection, foreclosure, creditors rights, consumer credit and loan workout. Laney Hill received a J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedham School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Alabama.
