Pillsbury today announced the addition of Dillon Ferguson, one of Texas’ foremost oil and gas lawyers, as a partner in the Litigation practice. Ferguson comes to the firm from Andrews Kurth and will split time between Pillsbury’s rapidly expanding Austin office and the Houston office.
Consistently recognized as an outstanding practitioner and one of Texas’ top-rated energy and natural resources practitioners, Ferguson concentrates on oil and gas litigation and advises clients in all types of investments and disputes. In his litigation practice, he has handled domestic and foreign disputes, including administrative proceedings and arbitration. He is well-known in the competitive Texas energy market for his extensive industry experience and subject-matter mastery and has handled complex, multifaceted litigation and arbitration in a long list of venues around the country.
“Dillon has been recognized for many years as a true leader in the Texas oil and gas sector, and his credentials are exceptional,” said Tom Campbell, Houston managing partner and Crisis Management team leader. “Serving clients in the energy industry has long been a cornerstone of Pillsbury’s practice and a focus of the Houston office, and Dillon’s highly respected litigation and transactional capabilities are a perfect fit for our clients.”
In addition to his litigation practice, Ferguson has significant experience representing clients engaged in oil and gas exploration, production and distribution; the purchase of assets; and oil and gas leasing and financing. His clients have included Cheniere Energy, KCS Energy, FG Hemisphere Associates, Constellation Energy Partners and Rimrock Energy.
“We are delighted to welcome Dillon to our Austin office, which has expanded rapidly and at a pace commensurate with the city itself,” said Firm Chair Jim Rishwain. “Moreover, his strong connections and reputation in Houston’s energy industry will be incredibly beneficial to our energy sector clients and to our growth in Texas.”
Ferguson added: “Pillsbury’s momentum in Texas is impressive and demonstrates the firm’s commitment to growth in the state and to the energy and technology sectors it has served so well for decades.
