Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Collin Cox has joined the firm as a partner in the Houston office. Cox, formerly a partner with Yetter Coleman LLP, will lead Gibson Dunn’s litigation practice in Houston.
“Collin is a star with an impressive background and a compelling record of success in the courtroom,” said Barbara Becker, Chair and Managing Partner of Gibson Dunn. “His addition to our Houston office further solidifies our preeminent litigation presence in Texas.”
“We are delighted to bring Collin on board,” said Michael P. Darden, Partner-in-Charge of the Houston office. “Collin is an accomplished trial lawyer and is highly regarded by the Houston legal and business communities. His arrival adds an elite trial-level capability that matches the market-leading appellate capability we gained when Kyle Hawkins, the former Solicitor General of Texas, re-joined the firm in Houston earlier this year. Collin’s stellar trial skills and his focus on energy, financial services, and technology cases make him a perfect fit for the growth opportunities in Texas and firmwide.”
“I am honored to join Gibson Dunn,” Cox said. “Having worked alongside Gibson Dunn on various matters, I’ve long admired the firm’s culture and its preeminent litigation platform. I am looking forward to helping the firm further build out the Houston office and its Texas litigation practice.”
