Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Banking Practice with the addition of new partner Mark Holmes in Houston. He joins the Firm from Bracewell, where he was a partner.
“We are excited to welcome Mark to our Banking Practice. He brings a unique skill set in complex energy financings, particularly in the US reserve-based lending space,” said White & Case partner Eric Leicht, Head of the Global Banking Practice. “Significant investment in the oil & gas industry is expected over the next five to ten years, and Mark’s expertise will further bolster our energy finance offering while adding another talented partner to our growing Houston office.”
Holmes’ practice focuses on energy finance and capital structure transactions, with an emphasis on the upstream and midstream segments. He represents public and private companies, sponsors, commercial banks and direct-lending funds in secured and unsecured financings and common and preferred equity investments, with a particular focus on US reserve-based lending, asset-based lending, project financings and acquisition financings.
“Mark’s appointment will immediately strengthen our US reserve-based lending expertise, as we continue to expand our Banking Practice in line with our 2020 vision,” said Jake Mincemoyer, White & Case Regional Section Head of Americas Banking. “He is a seasoned and highly-recognized finance partner and I am confident he will play a valuable role in enhancing our client offering in Houston and the wider Americas region.”
