Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. (Munsch Hardt) is pleased to announce the addition of Virginia Mixon Swindell as a shareholder in its Houston office. Previously with Jackson Lewis, Virginia will now assist Munsch Hardt in expanding the Firm’s Labor & Employment capabilities.

Swindell represents clients in state and federal courts who are facing individual, class, or collective disputes with current or former employees. Her experience includes defending employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, whistleblower retaliation, wage and hour violations, leave and disability accommodation issues, and breaches of contract. Virginia also regularly counsels employers in identifying practical solutions for human resources issues, including best practices for preventing such lawsuits. In addition, Swindell conducts internal investigations of a wide variety of employment-related issues, such as concerns about sexual harassment, discrimination, whistleblower complaints, and management performance.

Virginia Mixon Swindell is a member of the Houston Bar Association (Labor & Employment Section), the National Association of Women Lawyers, the Southwest Association of Bank Counsel and the Texas State Bar. She earned her law degree from The University of Houston, where she served as Articles Editor for the Houston Law Review. Swindell earned her undergraduate degree in English from the University of Texas at Austin.
