Latham & Watkins LLP1 is pleased to announce that Jonathan Castelan has joined the firm’s Houston office as a partner in the Corporate Department and member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. Castelan represents private equity firms and energy companies in acquisitions, divestitures and strategic joint ventures involving midstream assets. Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Castelan was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Houston.
Castelan complements his transactional work with advice on midstream operating agreements. His areas of focus include oil and gas gathering and processing agreements, supply and offtake agreements, transportation agreements, hydrocarbon purchase agreements and pipeline interconnect agreements. Castelan also advises clients with respect to engineering, procurement and construction arrangements.

Castelan received his JD from the University of Texas Law School and his BA from Southern Methodist University.
