Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP today announced that energy M&A lawyer Tan Lu has joined the Firm as a partner in the Corporate & Financial Services Department. He is based in the Houston office. Lu was most recently counsel at Vinson & Elkins.
Tan advises private equity firms, public companies and financial institutions on complex transactions involving a range of energy and infrastructure assets. He has worked on over 100 closed deals with an aggregate transaction value of over $30 billion, with significant experience advising on upstream and midstream oil and gas acquisitions, divestures, joint ventures, DrillCo and private equity investments. Tan has advised on acquisitions across the major natural resource basins of the United States, as well as cross-border deals, having acted for clients in China, Japan, U.K. and Thailand.
