Are you an entrepreneurial junior to mid-level litigation associate who is tired of the billable hours? Are you someone who has always wanted to see what it would be like to hang up your own shingle but isn't quite ready for the leap? Then, our litigation boutique client may be the solution! Kinney Recruiting is working with a newly formed boutique mass action litigation law firm to find its first associate! Previous work experience in a technology or finance is a plus!
The role is for someone with complex litigation experience and who believes in themselves because the associate will help the firm founders to grow the mass action litigation firm. Substantive skills include conducting factual and legal research, proposing and executing litigation strategy, managing client communications and document collection, and communicate with courts, co-counsel, experts and vendors. Being technologically savvy is important as this firm utilizes technology to help make their job streamlined.
Soft skills necessary for this role are: Growth mindset and not afraid to learn new skills; excellent organizational skills; creative and independent thinker, and have good temperament and empathy.
While this position will start remotely, eventually the firm will require the associate to go into the office at least 2-3 time per week. Open to candidates sitting in Chicago, Pittsburgh, Washington, DC, and New York. Base salary: $150k-$165k with benefits and 401K. Must be licensed to practice law in a US jurisdiction and a JD from an accredited law school. This position has unlimited growth potential as the associate will be rewarded as the firm grows.
