The international law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP today announced that Victoria Westerhaus has joined the firm as a partner in the M&A and Corporate Finance and Securities & Corporate Governance Groups. Westerhaus will reside in the Kansas City office.
Westerhaus advises public and private companies and nonprofits on mergers and acquisitions, securities law compliance and offerings, corporate governance, joint ventures and other business law matters. She has experience advising senior management, boards and committees on fiduciary duty issues, SEC reporting requirements, proxy statement and activist proxy matters, Section 16 securities ownership reports and insider trading matters. She also regularly represents investment advisers and broker-dealers on SEC and FINRA compliance matters. In addition, Westerhaus represents companies in franchise matters, distribution and supply contracts, research and development agreements, and consulting agreements. She has experience with companies in a variety of industry sectors, including technology, health care, clinical research, renewable energy and data centers.

Westerhaus received her J.D. in 1989, Order of the Coif, from the University of Nebraska and her B.J., Phi Beta Kappa, in 1985 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
