Global law firm Ashurst announces the appointment of Whitney Lutgen as partner in its investment funds practice based in London, as the firm continues the growth of its international funds practice in response to increasing client demand. Whitney joins from MJ Hudson where she was partner and co-head of the funds team.
With over 10 years’ experience, Whitney has extensive expertise representing both GPs and LPs in a wide range of fund transactions. She represents fund managers on fund formation and investor negotiations, as well as institutional investors on their fund investments. She also represents fund managers on carried interest arrangements and has deep experience in the analysis of market trends in fund terms and advising both GPs and LPs on strategy in achieving market leading terms.
