International law firm Brown Rudnick LLP is pleased to announce today that it has appointed Louisa Watt as a partner in its London office.
Louisa will be joining from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, where she held the position of partner and Head of Loan Portfolios, Claims and Debt Trading. In 2017, Louisa led a team which was responsible for over EUR15 billion of loan trading and litigation funding transactions.
Recognised as a leading authority on secondary loan trading in distressed situations, Louisa has extensive experience in the creation of bespoke documentation for complex cross-border loan transactions, portfolios and litigation funding.

Louisa will co-lead Brown Rudnick’s European Finance and Special Situations practice alongside partner, Tuvi Keinan. The practice advises an array of clients including funds, financial institutions and family offices. She will also work alongside Steve Wasserman in heading up the firm’s Distressed Debt and Claims Trading practice group.
