Clifford Chance strengthens Tech Group with hire of Simon Persoff Leading international law firm Clifford Chance announces that Simon Persoff will be joining the global Corporate Practice, as a partner in the firm’s Tech Group, based in London. Simon joins Clifford Chance from DLA Piper, where he acted as a Senior Consultant advising on data protection, privacy, cyber security and banking secrecy issues.
Simon brings strong expertise in contentious data issues in addition to a wealth of experience in commercial, outsourcing and telecoms regulatory issues from over a decade in wider strategic management roles for several corporate enterprises including Orange and Freeserve.
Simon’s hire follows continuing investment in the Tech Group’s global partnership with 10 partner promotions to the team in May 2020. Following the launch of the Tech Group in 2017, the team has seen significant success and growth year on year, cementing its market-leading position.
Recently, Clifford Chance has supported many clients as they adapt to address challenges as a result of Covid-19 and seek opportunities in an environment which has seen accelerated digitalisation across all industries. In December 2019, in response to increased tech policy debate and scrutiny by governments and policymakers, Clifford Chance launched its global Tech Policy Unit. The unit is dedicated to monitoring and anticipating the rapidly evolving policy and legal landscape in tech, while helping clients shape the current policy debate in the context of rapid technological advancement
