Global law firm Clyde & Co has today announced the appointment of Brian Greenwood and Stephen Webb as Partners to its highly regarded planning group in London, led by Partner Ian Ginbey, which will become one of the largest of its kind in the UK.
Brian Greenwood, a leading planning, infrastructure and environmental lawyer, joins Clyde & Co from Winckworth Sherwood. His experience is wide-ranging. He regularly acts as advocate at NSIP and local plan examinations, public inquiries and in the Magistrates’ Courts and has considerable experience of judicial review and High Court litigation. His environmental expertise encompasses regulatory consents, appeals, contaminated land, water and air pollution, waste disposal and litigation in the High Court. His work has included the Millennium Dome and the regeneration of the former Spitalfields Market and project works in the ports sector, including the Swansea Tidal Lagoon proposal and Immingham Outer Harbour.
Stephen Webb, a leading planning lawyer, joins Clyde & Co’s London office from King & Wood Mallesons. Stephen has over 25 years’ experience as both a solicitor and town planner. He advises private and public sector clients on all aspects of planning law. His recent work includes a number of urban extensions such as the redevelopment of Filton Airfield, Bristol, to deliver some 5,000 new homes, and an 18 week public inquiry into the Leeds Trolley Bus Transport and Works Act Order.
