International law firm DAC Beachcroft is pleased to announce the appointment of David Hill to its health sector practice. This announcement closely follows the appointments of partners Katherine Calder (procurement), and David Roberts (clinical negligence). David joins DAC Beachcroft from Hill Dickinson, and is a highly regarded partner with significant experience in public law, governance and data.
He specialises in advising the health and social care sector on public law projects, including advice on arrangements for collaborations between organisations, legislative reform and service reconfiguration. He also advises healthcare organisations on their obligations under data protection and related legislation.
David joins an award winning Health, Care and Public Law Team where he will focus on national as well as northern-focussed health projects.
Nigel Montgomery, partner and Head of Health at DAC Beachcroft, comments, “We are thrilled that David has joined our business. He is an excellent addition to our already strong, market-leading Public Law offering. His expertise will further strengthen our nationwide capabilities, and ensure that we remain at the forefront of the market and with the capacity required to deliver on our clients’ ambitions coming out of the White Paper.
“This strategic appointment underlines our commitment to the health sector and to sustainable growth.”
David adds, “I am delighted to be joining DACB. The firm has an unrivalled reputation in the health sector, and I am very much looking forward to continuing to grow the Health, Care and Public Law practice. Now is a really interesting time in the health sector, and I look forward to supporting clients and our people as we move away from the COVID-19 pandemic, and towards the ambitions set out in the White Paper.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the pace of change in the NHS and within healthcare more broadly. We are going to see, for example, more reconfiguration of NHS services and an increase in the use of digital technology, and our team will be in the strongest possible position to help clients navigate these challenges.”
