Dentons Further Strengthens its Global Corporate Energy and Infrastructure Capabilities With Partner Hire in London

Dentons has continued to strengthen its Corporate team in London with the hire of M&A and private equity specialist Paul Doris. Paul was most recently a partner in Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe’s London office.

Having previously worked in Madrid, Frankfurt and Paris, Paul specialises in advising international financial sponsors (including private equity firms, infrastructure investors and pension funds) on cross border and domestic mergers, acquisitions and disposals, with a particular focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors. He has led corporate transactions involving assets and operations in locations including Spain, Latin America, Africa and India.

David Collins, partner and head of Dentons’ UK Corporate team, said, “We’re delighted to welcome Paul to the team; his arrival is a natural extension of our growing private equity practice into specialist energy and infrastructure investors, particularly across key markets such as Spain and Latin America where our corporate team is doing an increasing amount of work.”

Paul’s hire follows that of three partners to join Dentons’ London Corporate team over the past 18 months, including Ted Craig (funds and asset management), Chris Heath (hotels), and Adriana Cotter (corporate insurance).

Key transactions the team has worked on recently include advising Graphite Capital on the sale of UK healthcare brand SK:N to TriSpan, solar power system manufacturer Mobisol on its takeover by ENGIE, KPS Capital Partners on its US$490 million acquisition of Brunswick Corporation’s fitness brands and its US$1.8 billion acquisition of Howden from Colfax Corporation, and KSL Capital Partners on its purchase of French hotel group Les Hôtels d’en Haut from Perseus Group.
