Dentons has bolstered its global Privacy and Cybersecurity Group with the hire of partner Antonis Patrikios in London. Patrikios joins Dentons from the London branch of Fieldfisher LLP.
A leading specialist, Antonis has over 12 years’ experience advising on all aspects of data privacy and cybersecurity law. His clients range from major multinational brands to leading data businesses, and from growth companies through to public sector entities, with a particular focus on the telecommunications, media and technology sectors. His recent experience includes advising a number of clients on GDPR and new legal regime readiness, advising on complex matters such as big data and adtech, advising clients on their cybersecurity preparedness and guiding them through their incident response efforts. Antonis is a dual- qualified English solicitor and Greek Dikigoros (Athens Bar), and is fluent in English and Greek.
Andy Lucas, head of Dentons’ UK Technology, Media and Telecoms practice, said, “We are excited to welcome Antonis, a true cybersecurity and data privacy expert, to our global Privacy and Cybersecurity Group and our Tier 1 IT and Telecoms practice. His hire reflects the demand we’re seeing from our clients for data privacy and cybersecurity advice, and growing our capabilities in this area is a focus for our UK business to enable us to better support our clients on their global data privacy and cybersecurity needs.”
Antonis’ appointment follows the promotion to partner of Henrietta Baker and Tristan Jonckheer in the London TMT team, who were included in Dentons’ round of 25 partner promotions across the UK and Europe earlier this year.
Antonis will join the Firm later this year.
