Dentons has recruited Chris Brennan as a partner in the firm’s UK Disputes Division. A contentious regulatory specialist ranked as a ‘Leading Individual’ by Legal 500 and also recommended by Chambers, Chris joins the London office from White & Case where he has been a partner since 2018.
Chris has over 20 years of private practice and in house experience. He has advised on a number of significant regulatory cases in both the retail and wholesale markets, represented leading financial institutions on regulatory enquiries, investigations and enforcement actions, and acted for individuals in relation to regulatory and criminal investigations or prosecutions. His arrival strengthens Dentons’ UK contentious regulatory team led by practice group leader Katharine Harle. Dentons also bolstered its non-contentious financial services team last year with the hire of regulatory partner Greg McEneny from Lloyds Banking Group.
Louisa Caswell, who joined Dentons in November 2021 as UK Divisional Leader for Disputes, says, ‘Chris’s arrival builds on the firm’s banking and financial markets disputes expertise, providing additional bench strength in regulatory investigations which is a vital service for our clients. I look forward to working with Chris, Katharine and the wider regulatory team as we drive forward our strategic aim of offering clients a market-leading regulatory and financial crime practice, and continuing to grow our UK Disputes team in line with UKIME CEO Paul Jarvis’s growth agenda.’
