Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice with the addition of Di Yu as a partner in London. Yu comes to the firm from Slaughter & May in London.
“The continued growth of our M&A Practice in London and EMEA ensures we are best placed to advise our clients on their complex cross-border public and private M&A transactions,” said White & Case partner John Reiss, Head of the Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. “The addition of Di Yu in London supports this growth in a key jurisdiction and further strengthens our sector expertise and specialisms, in particular our energy, financial institutions and technology industry focuses.”
Di advises on public and private M&A transactions, joint ventures, equity raisings, large-scale corporate reorganisations and listed company corporate advisory matters. She has experience across a wide range of sectors including infrastructure, energy, financial institutions, technology and consumer products. Di joins White & Case from Slaughter and May.
“Di is a skilled M&A lawyer, with a proven track record advising on high profile and complex deals,” said White & Case partner Philip Broke, Regional Section Head EMEA M&A/Corporate 2. “Her arrival will support the further growth of the London M&A team and expand our bench of experience advising on market-leading transactions.”
Partner Oliver Brettle, a member of White & Case’s global Executive Committee, said: “We remain committed to pursuing strategic growth in London as the role of the City as a global financial centre and the use of English law for cross-border transactions continues. Di is the eighth lateral partner to join our Global Mergers & Acquisitions Practice in London since the start of 2021 in addition to four promotions to partner in the team, which together demonstrate our sustained growth in this important practice area.”
